Drug interactions:

Amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium is an antibiotic in a group of drugs called penicillins. Amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium fights bacteria in the body. It works by weakening the bacteria's structure, causing it to die. Augmentin Tablets kills sensitive bacteria by interfering with formation of the bacteria's cell wall while it is growing. Some medical conditions may interact with Augmentin Tablets. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you have ever had an allergic reaction to penicillin or to a cephalosporin, you may also be allergic to amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium. Take this medication for the entire length of time prescribed by your doctor. Your symptoms may get better before the infection is completely treated.
