Insulin is a hormone naturally produced by the pancreas. Insulin aspart (IN-su-lin AS-part)is a fast-acting type of human insulin. Insulin is used by people type 2 diabetes to help keep blood sugar levels under control. Diabetes occurs when the pancreas does not make enough insulin to meet your body's needs. Insulin helps to keep your blood glucose at a nearly normal level. Insulin aspart-insulin aspart protamine is used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus.
Because insulin aspart-insulin aspart protamine begins to work soon after it is injected, the injection of insulin aspart-insulin aspart protamine should be followed by a meal within 15 minutes or less. The amount of insulin or insulin aspart you need changes during pregnancy. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have allergies to medicines or other substances.
