Drug interactions:

Clonazepam(klonopin) is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. Benzodiazepines (ben-zoe-dye-AZ-e-peens) belong to the group of medicines called central nervous system (CNS) depressants (medicines that slow down the nervous system). It works by increasing the activity of a naturally occurring chemical in the brain. Clonazepam(klonopin) affects chemicals in your brain that may become unbalanced and cause seizures or symptoms of panic disorder.
Chlordiazepoxide(klonopin) and diazepam have been reported to increase the chance of birth defects when used during the first 3 months of pregnancy. Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Clonazepam(klonopin) will cause drowsiness and may cause dizziness. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have depression or have ever considered or attempted suicide.
