Press Conference:
Friend --
I protest!
That's the message Americans gave to the media and to the liberals when we lined up and waited -- sometimes for hours -- to patronize a fast-food chicken restaurant.
We lifted our voices in a rare conservative protest from coast-to-coast. I was so proud to be a part of it!
We sent a warning that we will protect our religious liberty, a pillar of our nations' freedom.
We sent a warning that we will protect free enterprise that created our country and keeps us fed.
And we protested peacefully.
But on that day of protest, our nation entered a new, dark chapter.
On Wednesday, a part of Obamacare went into effect that requires employers who have religious convictions against contraception to disobey their conscience and pay for other people's birth control -- including the morning after pill.
Friend, we are falling into the abyss.
For nearly half a century, liberals have sold individual happiness as the sole moral framework of human conduct. It was our black communities who first fell victim to this lie in the 1960s.
Through the promise of a handout, black Americans -- who attend church with greater frequency than any ethnic group -- have paid the price for that lie through poverty and moral decay.
Yet every year, liberals expand government and push a radical agenda that stands opposite of our values while they freely take more of our freedom.
When we lined up at Chick-fil-A on Wednesday, we sent a message to the liberals that we will not tolerate intolerance!
But today, our entitlements grow and despite our glorious protest, our government has crossed the line and taken another liberty.
That’s why I still protest! Will you protest with me?
Friend, will you support me so freedom-lovers throughout our nation will wake up to the danger of socialism? Will you click this link and donate $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or even $2,500 to restore and safeguard liberty?
When Americans hear my story about living on and off of welfare for seven miserable years, they understand the reality and cruelty of socialism. They also understand that there is hope, that we can fix our country if we restore personal responsibility, enterprise and faith into our way of life -- the founding principles of our nation.
Friend, I can only tell my story and help others know there is another way to solve poverty with your immediate help. Our nation can’t wait any longer as the liberals destroy our freedom. Protest and donate right now.
