Obama vs. the American Dream

Is there something wrong here? 

The graph below shows that the main business of the U.S. government today is taking money from one group of people and transferring it to others. We're spending over 70 percent of government revenue on payments to individuals. We're no longer talking about if we become a welfare state.   Our nation has become a welfare state and more than we would like to believe, we have become addicted.
 
So it’s not an accident that although only 22 percent of Americans feel today that the country is on the right track, and most feel that government is too big and intrusive, when it comes down to what to cut, most are opposed because they are themselves, one way or another, on the dole. 
 
Friend, welfare states never succeed. It has destroyed nations and now it's destroying our cities.  Look at what's happened to Detroit. Detroit today has become a skeleton city.  Once a great American center of industry, it is now a pathetic basket-case, a shadow of what it once was, destroyed by government plantation politics and unions.  Now even the blacks are leaving. 
 
Detroit gives a picture of where our nation is headed. 
 
 
You know I’ve been talking about this for years -- what the growing welfare state was going to do to America.  That just as Uncle Sam’s Plantation destroyed black America, it is now destroying our whole nation.   
 
I've been fighting the welfare state and runaway government since I founded CURE in 1995, the non-profit organization that I still run today. I've been helping blacks understand what the welfare state has done to them. I worked on the landmark welfare reform bill in 1996.  Now I'm trying to help all Americans understand what it's doing to us all.
